In next week’s episodes of Coronation Street, Chesney Brown is set to face a tough decision when his ex-girlfriend Katy Armstrong pleads with him to give her and their relationship another chance…
However, she only does so after suspecting that her current boyfriend Ryan Connor (Sol Heras) is cheating on her.
The drama begins on Monday, July 8 when Kirk (Andy Whyment) and Beth (Lisa George) tell Ches (Sam Aston) that they saw Ryan with another woman last week…
Ches immediately feels sorry for Katy, and debates whether she should be told what Beth and Kirk saw, however, while that’s going on, Katy (Georgia May Foote) is reading text messages on Ryan’s phone…
In the episode that airs on Wednesday, Katy decides to test Ryan out over his excuse that he’s meeting with – and has been texting – a club promoter who can get him work, so she follows him to the bar where she finds Ryan flirting with a woman. Determined to put Ryan on the spot, she introduces herself as his girlfriend, which doesn’t go down well.
Back on the street later, Katy lays into Ryan, accusing him of being a love rat, and meanwhile, Sinead (Katie McGlynn) tests Ches’ feelings for her by asking if she can stay the night. Can Ches prove to Sinead that he’s over Katy?
Well, in Friday’s double-bill, Sinead’s convinced Chesney still has feelings for Katy, and when he realises how much he’s hurting her feelings, Ches apologises to Sinead, admitting that he’s struggling to move on from Katy.
A sad but understanding Sinead then says goodbye, but tells Ches to call her if he ever needs a friend…
Later, Katy calls round to see Chesney, and within minutes, she apologises for hurting him and begs him for another chance.
However, as Chesney’s still hurt and angry with Katy for her betrayal, can he let her back into his life?
